About The LifeTime Learning Series

The team at LifeTime Asset Management is proud to launch a new series of virtual events, The LifeTime Learning Series, offering short webinars on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.

Each session will feature a different topic, one that’s relevant to you and your financial future. (And don’t worry – educational content only. No product pitches allowed!) The sessions will all be free and open to the public, as part of LTAM’s commitment to offering financial literacy resources to the community.

OCTOBER 1st: CCRCs and Aging in Place

Aline Dawson headshotWhat are Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC)? What are the pros and cons of CCRCs, and how much do they cost? This webinar will discuss “aging in place” and retirement communities, exploring the challenges and opportunities that come with aging and the options available for extending independence and promoting quality of life. Join Aline Dawson, volunteer instructor at Duke’s lifelong learning institute, to learn more.

Aline Dawson relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Triangle in 2005. During her career she held a variety of IT Management positions for several Fortune 50 companies including IBM, Apple, Xerox and Cisco Systems, Inc. She holds a BA in Business Administration from The University of North Texas. She retired from Cisco Systems, Inc in 2017. Upon retirement Aline became involved in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Duke program. Since Fall 2018 she has taught an OLLI course exploring housing options as we age. The course provides an overview of Aging in Place and Aging in Community and includes a deep dive of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) in the Triangle area.

He spent seven years with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of North Carolina and has had VP roles as Marketing and Account Director with other agencies. Joe received his MBA in Marketing from Cornell University and his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from The University of Connecticut.

Chris MordenChris Morden is an estate planning and probate attorney with offices in Raleigh and Wake Forest, North Carolina. Chris assists clients with estate planning, estate, guardianship, and trust administration, and he can assist on asset protection and various business and law matters. Chris is a Partner at the firm of Monroe, Wallace & Morden. He was named on Super Lawyers Magazine‘s Rising Stars list multiple years in a row, a designation named to no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state.
