3rd Thursday in February: Feb. 18th, 4pm
Join us for a timely discussion about resources you may want to consider if you currently support, or if you may soon support, aging relatives. Caregiving responsibilities are expanding to millions of people in the US, with everyone from Millennials to Boomers becoming responsible for the care of aging family members. In this helpful webinar overview, speaker Meike Wiest, MSW, CCM, will share applicable things we can do to better support our relatives as they get older – and things we can all do to support those in our lives who are caregivers of our older adults.
Meike Wiest – Meike Wiest is NC Triangle Area President at Arosa. Prior to joining Arosa in 2012, she worked for more than six years as a Targeted Case Manager in Wake County, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Meike moved to the Triangle area from Hamburg, Germany, in 2006, where she worked in geriatric care for eight years. Born and raised in Germany, Meike first visited Raleigh as a high school exchange student, when she met the man who would later become her husband. After completing her master’s degree in social work at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Meike moved to the U.S. in 2005. She and her husband have one daughter and one very spoiled dog.
