Executive Team Member

Lorraine Johnson, CFP®, CFA®, ADPA® Wealth Consultant

Lorraine Johnson works with business owners, non-traditional families, and those who are either retired or within 5-10 years of reducing their involvement in the workforce. She has a passion for helping them create, manage and preserve their wealth while helping them work towards financial independence and confidence. Her services include financial planning, investment management and insurance. She particularly enjoys providing investment advice and helping business owners to integrate their personal and business planning.

She is a highly qualified financial services representative with a combination of experience and professional credentials. She earned an undergraduate degree in Trust Management and Estate Planning, holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst® and Accredited Domestic Partnership AdvisorSM (ADPA®), and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner. Lorraine has over two decades of experience in the financial services industry.

Lorraine is a member of the North Carolina Society of Financial Analysts, the Financial Planning Association and the CFA Institute. She is a Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, member FINRA/SIPC, and is registered for securities and licensed for insurance. She has been quoted and the subject of articles in InvestmentNews Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

Lorraine is an appointed member of The Supplemental Retirement Board of Trustees, the board responsible for governing the NC 401(k)/457 Plans and the NC 403(b) Program. She was appointed to the board by Governor Roy Cooper in June 2018 and recently re-appointed by Governor Cooper in July 2023.

As an active participant in the Triangle business community, she is a member of the Greater Raleigh Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Over the years Lorraine has received NAWBO chapter awards for Member of the Year, Political Advocacy, and Corporate Sponsorship. She was Athena Powerlink of the Triangle’s 2014-2015 Recipient, benefiting from the wisdom of local experts in the field of finance, lifestyle and leadership. Lorraine was inducted into the NC Women Business Owner’s Hall of Fame in 2022.

Lorraine is a member of Harmony, the NC LGBT+ Allied Chamber of Commerce. She is an avid supporter of Triangle Family Services, a local organization providing assistance to individuals and families in crisis. In 2016 she received the LGBT Center of Raleigh’s Distinguished Service Award for her years of involvement with advocacy on behalf of the community.*

Lorraine enjoys music, theater, and travel. More than anything else, she loves spending time with her family, now scattered from San Francisco, CA to the UK! A fun fact about Lorraine is that in 2016 she wrote a children’s book, The Bear at the Top of the Tree. She looks forward to giving copies to her nieces and nephews as they grow old enough to spend more time reading the books and less time chewing them.

Lorraine recently announced her upcoming retirement, effective the end of 2023. She has graciously offered to continue in a mentorship capacity with LifeTime for the foreseeable future.
